Star Wars: A Romance was my dream shoot come to life. Inspired by both the grandeur of epic love stories and the unforgettable characters that have captured hearts for generations, this styled wedding shoot brought cinematic flair and intentional elegance to life at the beautiful Orting Manor. With real-life couples Kierren & AJ and Brianna & Michael at the heart of it all, this day was about celebrating romance through the lens of fandom and doing it in high style.
This shoot was thoughtfully divided into two parts: the Light Side and the Dark Side because even in weddings, balance in the Force is essential.
Clean, classic, and glowing with natural beauty. The Light Side was all about softness and serenity with just the right touch of rebellion. Our bride Kierren stunned in a beaded, form-fitting gown that sparkled with every step. Her look was completed with soft glam makeup and an old-Hollywood-inspired hairstyle that would make Leia proud. AJ, her real-life husband and co-pilot for the day, wore a crisp white tux with a black bowtie, perfectly channeling a modern-day Rebel commander. Of course, let’s talk about the details. Millennium Falcon cufflinks, an R2-D2 boutonnière (yes, really), a cake featuring the Death Star and R2 etched right into the frosting. Subtle. Nerdy. Perfect.
Together, Kierren and AJ brought joy, laughter, and so much light to this side of the shoot. From first looks filled with real giggles to a kiss-worthy dip moment that felt straight out of the final scene of a Star Wars love story, their chemistry was undeniable.
And that cake? A two-tiered masterpiece with a topper that read “Together we can rule the galaxy.” Because obviously.

Moody. Sophisticated. Unapologetically bold. The Dark Side of our Star Wars Wedding styled shoot was everything you’d hope for in a high-fashion, Sith-inspired love story.
Modeled by real-life couple Brianna and Michael, who basically walked in like a Vogue spread waiting to happen. This side of the shoot had presence. Not harshness, but power. An elegant intensity that made every detail feel intentional and iconic. Brianna stunned in a black gown with a custom dramatic lace cape and Rey-inspired hairstyle. Her bouquet brought the drama with deep crimson tones, dried elements, and plenty of (as I call them) pokey things that would absolutely win in a lightsaber duel. Michael matched the mood in a sharp black suit. Not to mention, complete with a Darth Vader tie and boutonnière that made the Dark Side feel pretty irresistible. Accordingly, the rings were on theme, presented in a Death Star box that felt straight off a collector’s shelf.
Their champagne tower moment? Iconic. It brought a little glam, a little mischief, and a whole lot of celebration.
From the dramatic staircase entrance to their romantic final dance under string lights, every frame of Brianna and Michael felt like the kind of high-concept shoot you dream about. Although was dark, it was couture.
Because even in galaxies far, far away…everyone ends up at the table.
To tie it all together, we created a stunning serpentine table that blended both the Light and Dark sides into one cohesive, show-stopping design. With gold and black candelabras lighting the way, the table flowed like a celebration of balance and unity. Perfectly fitting for a wedding story inspired by the Force.
The Light Side of the table featured soft greenery, gold flatware, vintage glassware, and floral plates that looked like they were plucked right from Naboo. Meanwhile, the Dark Side brought the drama with deep reds, black chargers, bold taper candles, and planet-inspired table cards. (Yes, that’s a Hoth place card you’re seeing)
Besides, no Star Wars celebration is complete without a little chaos…
The Dark Side made off with the cake, the Light Side popped the champagne, and the final showdown? A lightsaber battle between our two stunning brides. Because sometimes the only way to settle the score… is with some serious style and a little friendly duel.
This shoot was everything I love about creative weddings: meaningful, fun, deeply personal, and just a little out of this world. Whether you’re planning a fully themed wedding or just want a few subtle nods to your favorite fandom, Star Wars: A Romance proves that elegance and imagination don’t have to be mutually exclusive.
Inspired by the Force? Let’s create a wedding that’s uniquely, unapologetically you. Let’s Talk
